Kids Kingdom Learning Centre provides long day care and play-based early learning for babies, toddlers and kinder-aged children at our Hoppers Crossing and Sydenham centres in Melbourne's west. Open Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 6:30pm, we care for children from nursery age through to funded three and four year old kindergarten, all within one warm, familiar routine. Our approach blends secure daily routines, consistent educators, and intentional play, so children feel settled first and grow in confidence, language and independence well before the school years. Meals, nappies and excursions are included in the daily fee, so families can focus on their child rather than the extras.

What is the difference between long day care and early learning?
They are two sides of the same day. Long day care is the full-day care that fits working families, from 6:30am to 6:30pm, while early learning is the play-based educational program that runs within it. At Kids Kingdom your child gets both at once: reliable full-day care and intentional learning guided by qualified educators.
What ages do you care for?
We care for babies, toddlers and kinder-aged children, from nursery age through to funded 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten. Each room is set up for its stage, and children move up as they are ready while keeping familiar educators and routines.
What does a play-based early learning program actually involve?
Educators plan hands-on experiences, language and stories, sensory and creative play, and outdoor exploration, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework. Play is how young children build confidence, communication, independence and social skills, so learning feels natural rather than formal.
What are your opening hours?
Both centres are open Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 6:30pm, every weekday of the year except public holidays, giving families a genuine full-day option around work and school runs.
What is included in the daily fee?
The daily fee is all-inclusive. It covers five freshly prepared meals, all nappies and wipes, sunscreen, monthly excursions, and in-centre incursions, so there are no surprise extras to pack or budget for.
How does long day care lead into kindergarten?
Children flow from the nursery and toddler rooms into our funded 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten without changing centres. The kinder program is delivered by a qualified teacher inside the regular day, so your child reaches school readiness with the same familiar faces and routines.
Which centres offer long day care and early learning?
Both Kids Kingdom centres: Hoppers Crossing at 310 Derrimut Rd in Melbourne's west, and Sydenham at 5-7 Pecks Rd in the north-west. Both run the same warm, all-inclusive approach.
How much does it cost, and does the Child Care Subsidy apply?
Long day care is $150 per day at Hoppers Crossing and $152 per day at Sydenham before subsidy. Most families are eligible for the Child Care Subsidy, which is paid directly to the centre and lowers your out-of-pocket cost. Our CCS calculator can give you an estimate before you enquire.
